Parks Victoria online system crashes causing concerns of potential data breach

PARKS Victoria has apologised for temporarily pausing camping and accommodation bookings for the 2023/24 season, following a data breach that saw private information compromised for a “very small number of users”.

The online booking system for Parks Victoria has crashed leaving those who used the site concerned of a potential data breach.

The Victorian government is investigating a potential data breach that could have affected thousands of families across the state.

All bookings on pause “technical difficulties issues related to system configuration”. Have apologised for the inconvenience. Some campers were shown the name, phone number and addresses of other campers using the site
