Update Sunday 28 February 2021: RMIT has now restored access to the majority of IT systems that were affected by an outage last week.
RMIT University has suspended online and in-person classes after suffering an IT outage that one government source has described to the ABC as a significant cyber attack.
In a statement, RMIT said it was working to resolve “some issues” that had affected its IT systems but did not confirm what had caused the problems.
“From the analysis undertaken to date, which has been independently validated, there is currently no evidence to suggest any data breaches as a result of these issues,” the statement said.
