Australian Information Security Incident Reported: November 28 2018

Sensitive personal details including salaries and redundancy entitlements of senior staff at Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp Australia have been emailed across parts of the organisation as it battles staff disquiet over layoffs.

News Corp Australia staff expressed shock at receiving an email about 9am on Wednesday, detailing “the redundancy summary” for employees “over 200K”.

The Herald has been told that staff were asked to delete the emails. The email disappeared from staff email inboxes later in the morning.
