Incident: Perth-based Cyanweb Solutions hit by “criminal hacking”, website data and backups lost | HackerCombat LLC

Australian Information Security Incident Reported: July 07 2018

Australia based Cyabweb Solution the Digital Marketing and web provider company lost all customer data and backup after it was found that their server was compromised last week.

The company located in Perth focuses mainly on online marketing, hosting, and SEO; however, they were mostly panicking when the information of over 500 clients was suddenly wiped from their server.

A report advisory was posted on the company’s website, “A professional hacking group attacked, infiltrated the server, and destroyed all data, including all available backup data.

      Cheers. Unfortunately I only run off the media posts and walk a line between copyright and educational purposes which is why I feature the original story. The original source is typically fairly short as well, gets to me as well.

      What I’m trying to drive home is that it is not just a big overseas problem, it happens everyday in Australia to every type of business. This is a reference in hindsight. Check the tags/categories at the top of each story what allows you to drive a bit more value out of this.
