Incident: NAB sent customer data to domain name squatter, owner of adult websites | SMH

Australian Information Security Incident Reported: January 10 2017

National Australia Bank mistakenly sent the bank account details of 60,000 customers to an email address controlled by a domain name squatter and owner of adult websites.

NAB has written to customers notifying them that an email confirming their account had been established was also sent in error to an incorrect email address. The information that was wrongly shared includes customer names, addresses, email addresses, BSB and account numbers.
