Incident: Fraser Coast Mayor Chris Loft charged with misconduct and computer hacking | ABC News (Australian)

Australian Information Security Incident Reported: November 30 2017

Chris Loft was arrested this afternoon and charged over multiple alleged offences by the Crime and Corruption Commission including hacking, misconduct, and disclosure of official secrets relating to his time in the job.

The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) has charged the 66-year-old with two counts of misconduct in relation to public office and one of computer hacking.

He has also been charged with disclosure of official secrets and wilfully disclosing information.
