Incident: Another child protection privacy breach names more than 30 kids in care | The Standard

Australian Information Security Incident Reported: January 24 2017

Victoria’s child protection department has accidentally released information about dozens of children in foster care while under investigation by the state’s privacy commissioner.

A DHHS caseworker sent a spreadsheet to a Melbourne foster carer showing details of multiple expenses that had been claimed for children in out-of-home care. It identified more than 30 vulnerable children.
