A large Strata company on the Gold Coast has become the latest victim of a massive cyber hack.

The Australian reports SSKB, who are based on the Gold Coast with offices also across Queensland and in Melbourne, have been hit by the ransomware attack. The hackers are demanding a $460,000 ransom be paid over the next eight days, or are threatening to release the data

The criminals are reportedly claiming to have stolen 200 gigabytes of data from the company, including construction project data, customer financial information, management correspondence, contracts and agreements.

SSKB said it has called in an external forensics company, and notified the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC).
