Taylor’s Wines was locked out of their email system and computers, disrupting record keeping during the current vintage period.

While an IT team did manage to restore their computers by the end of the day, Managing Director of Taylor’s Wines, Mitchell Taylor, says they have no clue why they were targeted.

“We don’t have any idea, and there wasn’t any ransom demands or anything like that, so we’re quite surprised a company like ours would be hit by a cyber attack,” said Mr Taylor.

SK: No disrespect to Mr Taylor but this is such a part of the problem “Why me…” Company Directors need to wake up. Giving his statement a Drop Bear Award. I do love their Pinot Noir

Drop Bear

A drop bear (sometimes dropbear) is a hoax in contemporary Australian folklore featuring a predatory, carnivorous version of the koala (Phascolarctos cinereus). This imaginary animal is commonly spoken about in tall tales designed to scare tourists.
