Queensland police criticised by union for charging veteran officer with computer hacking | ABC News (Australia)

Many Queensland police officers feel they cannot properly investigate cases due to concerns they will be accused of improperly accessing the QPRIME database, the state’s police union says.

It comes as Queensland Police Union president Ian Leavers labelled computer hacking charges against a veteran officer “absolutely disgraceful”, after he was taken to court for using the police database while helping a domestic violence victim who feared for her safety.
